Lon and my TV clips from 2004 Earthquakes games

I've finally taken the time to hook up my camcorder to my Tivo and pull off all the clips of Lon and myself with painted faces on TV at two different San Jose Earthquakes (pro soccer MLS) games. I ripped off all the clips to a giant mpeg today while keeping the context of each TV spot. Then I sliced it up further more to individual slices of the clips. If anyone wants the over three minute and over 150 MB highlight reel which just basically has more soccer action, let me know.

Click here and you can view the individual TV spots from my site.

Old friends reunion

I almost forgot to post a message that I had my old friend Jason and his family come to town to visit. He hung out with my family and another friend of mine Josh's family. It was the very first time that Josh, Jason and I had all been together since before any of our kids were born and so it was the first time our families had gotten together. It had been over 4 years. Jason is the dude who live's in Colorado and works for the Air Force, you may have heard me talk about him before. Check out some pictures here.

No rain and hot days

It's been hot here recently as it's been in the 90s and we are about 7 inches behind normal in rain fall this year. We really have only had 1 storm in Spring that gave us any significant rainfall. It has sprinkled here and there for maybe only several minutes. One time it got really dark sprinkled for a bit and then got sunny again. It made a nice big rainbow. Click here to check out some photos of it.

It's been a constant process watering parts of the lawn every night. With this recent heat wave this week with low to high 90s (and soon maybe low 100s), the grass has really needed watering. Some of the neighbors who haven't been keeping up watering their lawns are really struggling right now. Some of the local weather man have already started to use the word "drought".

Other than that Indi's been smiling a lot now. She smiles a lot more than River did. I can get Indi to smile on command 100% of the time as long as she is awake. You mostly just have to smile at her and she'll smile back. She's also been crying a lot less and enjoying River being close to her. She's starting to be able to flip herself over when laying down now too.

River has been hanging outside more and always wants some one to play with him. He's been playing with the neighbor kids more and loves to score goals in his miniature soccer goal outside. We kicked the ball around a lot last night as we each had a full-size soccer ball and would dribble to the net and then do "big kick" to score. The toy goal says, "Goooooaaaal" when you score. So it's hilarious as when he watches a soccer game on TV and someone scores as he immediately raises both arms in the air and says, "Goooooaaaal"--mimicing his toy soccer net. It's something he just picked up and we never encouraged him to do and it's those things that make him super fun.
